Our Professional and dedicated team

Here at Westerham Day Nursery we have a highly qualified team of practitioners who hold qualifications ranging from Level 2 all the way up to Foundation Degree, Degree and Postgraduate level studies. Two members of our team who have attained Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), and another holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Our long standing Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) coordinator oversees and supports the children, families and staff for children who require additional support to achieve their potential.

Many of our staff have extensive early years’ experience and cover a range of specialist subjects such as Safeguarding. We also have two Level 3 Forest School Leaders and two Forest School Assistants with Level 2 and 1 qualifications. Our support staff include an on-site administrator and nursery cook.

We are proud of our team and actively encourage and support new practitioners into the industry as they build their experience and qualifications. This includes the recruitment and training of Apprentices.

The Nursery is led and supported by the Management Team, made up of the Nursery Owner, Nursery Manager, Room Co-ordinators and Lead Practitioners who work collectively to continually develop and improve the nursery and our practice, and in doing so improve the outcomes for all children.

All of our qualified practitioners are Paediatric First Aid trained and all staff hold Enhanced DBS checks.

Senior Management Team

Higher Qualified / Senior Staff

Emma Croucher

Emma joined us in July 2016 working in Bumblebee Room and has gone on to become the Lead Practitioner in our Caterpillar Room.
Emma holds an Early Years Educator Level 3 in Childcare and Education.

Lianne Smith

Lianne supports children under 2 years. Lianne is also one of our senior practitioners, and supports the Bumblebee room in implementing improvements to practice and developing the experiences for the younger children.

Sara Ramsay

Sara works Term Time as the setting's Forest School Teacher and Outdoor Learning Lead. Sara holds QTS and supports the development of the EYFS within the outdoor learning spaces.

Level 3 Staff

Georgia Teall

Georgia joined the Nursery in 2019 and works in the Bumblebee Room. Georgia holds a NVQ Level 3 qualification in Early Year’s Education.

Amy Johnson

Amy works in our Caterpillar Room.

Jo Ayers

Jo works in the Butterfly Room and holds a Level 3 qualification. Jo is also qualified in Level 1 Forest School.

Kerry Johnson

Kerry joined us in September 2019 and is the key person for our term-time preschool children in the Butterfly Room. Kerry holds a Level 3 in Early Years. Kerry also holds a Level 2 Qualification in Forest School.

Jessica Mabey

Jessica works in all rooms supporting children with additional needs/ SEND.

Caitlin Warner

Caitlin works in our Caterpillar Room.

Level 2 Staff

Millie Collins

Millie holds a Level 2 qualification and works in the Butterfly Room.

Elisha Gammon

Elisha holds a Level 2 qualification and works in the Bumblebee Room. She is currently studying for her Level 3 qualification.

Lily works in the Bumblebee Room and is studying for her Level 2 Qualification.
